Kathleen Brekken Named To ALLETE, Inc. Board Of Directors
DULUTH, Minn.-ALLETE, Inc. (NYSE: ALE) today announced that Kathleen Brekken has joined its board of directors.
Brekken, 57, is a retired business executive from Cannon Falls, Minn. She is a graduate of the University of Minnesota. For nearly 20 years Brekken was president and CEO of Midwest of Cannon Falls, retiring in 2003. She served on the ALLETE, Inc. board of directors from 1997 to 2003.
"We are pleased to welcome Kathy back to the ALLETE board," said Don Shippar, ALLETE Chairman, President and CEO. "Her business experience, as well as her previous service with the company, will be an asset to our board."
Brekken serves on the board of the Cannon Falls Medical Center Mayo Health System and is a member of the St. Olaf College Board of Regents.
